Welcome to the Best Regards Bakery & Cafe website.  We have been asked many times how we came up with our website name, the truth is it was very easy because that is what we thrive on and live for.  We Make Them Smile!  If you have been here before, you will notice all the great changes and additions.  If this is your first time, we welcome you and hope you find it to be super accessible. Although this is now our 20th year, we have made our greatest strides since 2006 when we were discovered by Toby Tobin.  My husband Robert now referred to as the "Cookie Guy" thanks to Toby Tobin, has developed the most delicious cookies, cinnamon rolls, bread and many other treats that you will ever taste.

• 1993  Cherrie opens Best Regards Gift Baskets out of our basement.  A few months later she moves into a 2,000 sq ft warehouse in Lenexa.

• 1995  Sold our first Customized Radio Flyer Wagon.  This best selling baby gift is still a Best Regards exclusive!

• 2000  Discovered that Robert has a talent for creating recipes.  he started with 56 different Chocolate Chip cookie recipes before creating his own memorable cookie

• 2002  Cherrie & Robert decide to throw caution to the wind and start a bakery to supply their growing Gift Basket business.  Over the next several years Cherrie & Robert create many new recipes, more for fun and Gift Baskets, than profit.

• 2007  Toby Tobin (radio icon and KC legend) discovers Best Regards and Rocks their word.  Brings Robert on show and talks him into creating a new cookie for every season and calls him the Cookie Man!

• Jan, 2011  Open Best Regards Bakery in OP and inherit an amazing bread baking oven.  Robert is determined to learn the art of bread baking.

• Summer, 2011  Start selling Artisan Breads, naturally leavened, crusty breads.  Toby says, "You need to serve lunch."  Robert tells him NO WAY!

• Fall, 2012  Best Regards Bakery & Cafe is born.  Johnson Counties best kept secret.  We make everything from scratch, including dressings, soups and sauces.  Last count is over 17 million different Grilled Cheese Sandwiches!
